Mercy Uganda is blessed and honored to serve the people of Karamoja, and specifically, the villages of Kokorio and Kayapas. Through the generosity of donors we have been able to provide wells in both villages, build a new pit latrine in Kokorio, start a tree planting project in various areas of Karamoja, and a growing, and continue an ongoing relationship with the precious people of that region.
LAND IN IRIRI
Mercy Uganda is thankful for land that God has provided to us in Karamoja, in a very fertile area called Iriri. We hope to do a work on that land similar to that on our land in Buyege....We ask you to pray with us, and for us as we seek God's will and provision for this approximately 2 acres of beautiful land in a dry and difficult part of Uganda.
The two pictures above show the fertility of the land...green in an otherwise very dry and hostile environment. These are two neighbors who asked that we take their picture.

SEEDLING TREE PROJECT
A project with a goal of 1,000+ trees to help the Karimojong by providing fresh fruit to eat and sell, as well as wood for development, and shade in this hot, dry country. The people in Kokorio and Kayapas are really growing their seedlings!

WATER...Wells in Karamoja
Wells in Kokorio and Kayapas continue to provide clean and accessible drinking water for the villages.....they are able to grow crops, and we are excited to provide seeds for them as well. We thank God for this provision, and we thank our donors for your heart for these precious people.

THE PROCLAIMER.....
The gospel in the Ngakarimojong language....solar powered, and audio...they can hear the gospel daily, Praise the Lord!
The pictures above are: people listening to the Proclaimer, and Barnabas (son of encouragement), part of the Kokorio village...he was selected by the village to be the one to oversee the care of, and playing of the Proclaimer.
Matthew 9:36-37 "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, 'The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into his fields.'"
